Kilig.
/ kee · lig /  ·  Tagalog

"The feeling of being moved by something beautiful. A thrill, a shudder, the rush you feel when something hits you so deeply it becomes physical."

A Tagalog word and the national language of the Philippines. Added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2016 and defined as: exhilaration caused by an exciting or romantic experience, a thrill. There is no precise English equivalent. Kilig is not translatable. It is only felt.

Why This Name

Megan is Filipina-American, raised in the American South with roots that run back to the Philippines and to the women who came before her. A culture that has always understood that emotion is not soft. It is precise.

Kilig is not borrowed. It is inherited. It is the feeling she chases in every frame, that moment when an image stops being a photograph and becomes something you feel in your chest.

The name exists to honor that lineage while building something new from it. A creative house that makes images which move people.

This name is not an aesthetic choice. It is a cultural inheritance, the founder's Filipino roots made visible in the work and in the name that carries it forward.
